Fastcat Opol to Camiguin and Bohol

Fastcat operated by Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation launched its Opol to Balbagon, Camiguin to Jagna, Bohol route.

APFC operates Philippine’s first and only catamaran Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) ferries in the Philippines.

The catamaran has arguably become the best design for ferries, because of their speed, stability and large capacity.

Fastcat ferries are brand new and were designed by Sea Transport Solutions of Australia, the leading designer of mid-speed catamaran vessels in the world. Fastcat was specifically designed to suit the weather and sea conditions here in the Philippines.

Trip schedules are the following:

Leaves Jagna, Bohol at 12 pm and arrives in Balbagon, Camiguin at 2:45 pm then Balbagon to Opol, Misamis Oriental, arrives at 7:45 pm

From Opol it leaves at 9:30 pm and arrives in Balbagon at 1:15 am then leaves Balbagon at 3 am and arrives in Jagna at 5:45 am.

Apple Tree Hotel & Resorts Celebrates its 10th year

Last February 1, 2018, was the 10th year celebration of Apple Tree Hotel & Resort located in Opol Beach, Misamis Oriental. The theme of the celebration was The Great Gatsby in the 1920’s era where it was also the Prohibition period.

It was an all-day event and culminated on the evening at the Sidlakan Ballroom at the 3rd floor of the Hotel & Resort with dazzling 1920’s era fashion dresses, hats, gloves and suspenders among the guest attending the event.

Business partners, government agencies, media and hotel industry partners are among the guest who attended the event with a sumptuous dinner.

Seven Seas Resort & Waterpark

Seven Seas Resort & Waterpark is one of the biggest waterparks in the Philippines and it is located right here in Cagayan de Oro City or specifically at Barra Opol, Misamis Oriental.

Apple Tree Resort & Hotel Celebrate its 7th Year Anniversary


Last Sunday (February 1, 2015) Apple Tree Resort & Hotel located at Opol beach, Misamis Oriental celebrated its seven years in business. Apple Tree Resort & Hotel was formerly named Lauremar Hotel until it changes management 7 years ago.

The celebration was held on its beach side area surrounded by its newly developed buildings that houses different size function rooms that one can accommodate over a hundred people, and a new restaurant on the ground floor. An additional infinity pool can also be seen on the beach front which has a great view of the sea when you are swimming on the pool.

Its keynote guest speaker is Director Chan of the Department of Tourism Region 10 which he talked about the rising tourism industry in the region as well as the coming of an international cruise ship that will dock in Cagayan de Oro port and bring in lots of tourist who will be touring around the region including Bukidnon to observe the tribal cultures of the land.


Aside from the 7th year anniversary celebration, Apple Tree Resort also unveiled its new logo and branding to be in line with its new image as one of the great resort hotel in the region. Come to the newly redeveloped Apple Tree Resort today and enjoy its new amenities.
